1972 CHEVROLET BLAZER, ENGINE & DRIVETRAIN

The engine is a freshly built 350 V8 with a 4-barrel Edelbrock Carb sitting on it. The cam gives the engine a decent lope, and with the aluminum heads this engine really runs like a champ. The headers and dual pipes make this power plant scream. Here are the engine/drivetrain specs:

  • 350 block, surfaced, four bolt main.
  • Edelbrock aluminum heads, Performer RPM 6089, 64cc.
  • Harland Sharp aluminum roller rockers – 1.5 Ratio, 3/8” Stud.
  • Crane Cams chrome moly pushrods – 5/16” + .100”.
  • TRW Forged Pistons, 11.5:1.
  • Crower Cam “Hot Street Beast” Performance Level 3 Cam, 00903.
  • Edelbrock 1405 Carb, 600 CFM.
  • Polished Hurricane intake, 52030.
  • MSD wires, distributor and coil.
  • Jet Coated Headers.
  • TH350 automatic transmission.
  • 12 bolt rear end.

Haven't had it on a dyno, but this set up really throws you back into your seat and at full throttle the power plant will set off car alarms and scare the hell out of your friends and neighbors. The engine is painted in the original hugger orange, and dressed up with tall valve covers, breather and original air cleaner. The firewall has been shaved, and the rad support is powder coated black. The truck comes with the following new parts:

  • New Optima yellow top battery ($170).
  • New fuel pump.
  • New High Amp Alternator.
